6 Easy Steps to a Greener Lawn
These steps combined with our Fertilization Treatments are the perfect approach to a thick, lush, green lawn!
- Set the blade on your lawnmower at 3” to 4” for bluegrass, especially during the heat of the summer.
- Avoid mowing during the heat of the day. It is recommended to mow during the evening one day after watering.
- Keep your lawn mower blade sharp to avoid brown tips.
- Train your roots to go deep into the soil by watering long enough to moisten the soil six inches below the surface. Your lawn should receive 1 ½” to 2 ½” of water per week. Even during the driest months of the summer.
- Water early in the morning. Watering at night can lead to disease problems, while watering during the daytime leads to water loss due to evaporation.
- Adjust your sprinklers correctly to insure proper coverage and to avoid wasting water. Learn how many gallons per minute your sprinkler heads disperse in order to set your clock correctly.
